| Cordura Plus 500 by Du Pont  Cordura is known to be the most abrasion-resistant fabric in the market. This is due to the production process of the fibers from which it is made. A high tenacity nylon fiber is air-textured during the extrusion process, acquiring a rough and opaque aspect, somewhat like cotton canvas. But because it is a synthetic fabric, it does not absorb water or wrinkle. In addition, it is mildew-resistant and quick-drying. These are excellent features for outdoor activities. The cordura used in Equinox products also comes with an internal waterproof coating. Aero Spacer 3D Developed by the sports shoes industry, this revolutionary moisture-management mesh fabric features an internal system of semi-rigid ducts which create an air chamber and allow air and moisture circulation. In our products it is used in places that come into contact with your body and therefore need ventilation, such as shoulder straps and the back part of backpacks. YKK Zippers This brand of zippers needs no introduction. It is known to be an absolute industry leader in terms of product quality. We use YKK zippers in sizes that vary from number 5 up to number 10. Straps Practically all of our straps are in nylon (polyamide). The narrowest strap used in our product line is 25 mm wide, and withstands a load of 60 kg. Plastic Parts Our buckles and closures are made of injected molded nylon 6.6 and are the most resistant in the market. Threads The threads used in our products are made of bonded nylon, in three different sizes (numbers 40, 30 and 20). Each detail is sewn at least twice, and some points are sewn up to 4 times (2 regular seams, a finishing seam and bar tack reinforcement). Seam Tape All of the internal seams are covered with seam tape. This process not only prevents fraying, but it also adds a second row of stitching, resulting in additional strength and durability, as well as a neater finished product. Bar Tacks A bar tack is a special stitch applied to major stress points. Each bar tack is comprised of forty-two stitches, which produce an average holding strength of 150 kg. |  |
